This little one came out of a shelter as a stray and was very shy. He needed some time to have his personality come out! He is very loving once he trust his people he very open and loving. 
This is what his foster had to say about him:

Apollo is relearning how to trust and love. He needs a very patient person to fill the role of his human. Apollo, or as we like to call him 'Pollo, has gone through a lot but it's clear that he wants to be a part of a family. 
 
His love language is growling. We do respect the growl because we understand it's a defense mechanism. Once we quietly talk to him and let him know he's safe, he usually allows us to touch him. Sometimes 'Pollo wants to cuddle on your lap, and other times he needs to know what everyone is doing. He is very curious about everything. He has become my little shadow. 

'Pollo does well with other dogs. He ignores cats. He loves older kids. 'Pollo is crate trained. He does great on a leash and on walks. He does this cute little prance! We are potty training him. 'Pollo is a picky eater, but loves human food. He sleeps with us on the bed. 
 
'Pollo is a sweet guy who is looking for a loving and patient family.
