FOSTER a dog and SAVE A LIFE. In order to carry out our mission and save animals, we need foster parents to provide a safe, loving home for a dog until a permanent, adoptive home is found. The number of foster homes is directly proportionate to the number of animals we can save. It’s that simple. If you agree to provide a foster home, we provide guidance, supplies and health management. You provide the most important part: the tender loving care. YOUR ROLE AS A FOSTER:
Provide for your foster dog a safe and nurturing environment as well as routine care such as brushing, baths, ear cleaning, etc.. Communicate with the foster and adoption coordinators to help facilitate adoptions and medical care. Foster may choose to meet prospective adopters during the "meet and greets". We highly respect our fosters judgement and give their opinion heavy weight as to whether or not an adoption seems like a good fit. We trust that they know what will be best for the dog they loved and cared for. Food and treats are provided by the rescue.
AS THE RESCUE:
We will provide all needed supplies. We will provide food, medications, vet care, crate (if needed), flea and heartworm medications. We provide support and can assist with transportation to and from the vet if needed.
If you are interested in becoming a foster, please fill out the foster application and the hold harmless form. Please email the hold harmless form to the foster coordinator at AnimalAdvocatesfl@gmail.com.
