Hi everyone, my name is Percy and I am approximately 3 months old. I currently weigh 22lbs and I am growing fast. I have had a rough beginning, but I am strong and have overcome. I was dropped off in a remote area and left on the side of the road. Thank goodness someone was working on the railroad and saw the person dropping me off. I was very skinny and very scared and in terrible physical shape. He got me to a wonderful rescue and here is where my life changed.
So why should you adopt me? Well, I am a big bundle of goofiness. I love to play and I am a very active dog. I am going to be a big boy someday and will be a great dog to take on all your adventures. I love to make new friends and I especially love kids and other dogs. Currently I am sleeping in a crate and my foster mom says thank goodness I sleep through the night without any problem. I am doing really well with my housebreaking, but still need to be on a strict schedule or I may have an accident.
I am up to date on all my shots and have been neutered. My only current issue is that I was not taken care of and the end result of my lack of nutrition was a condition called hypertrophic osteodystrophy in my front limbs. My veterinarian said that it is common in big dog breeds and should go away on its own. Currently I am not having any issues and can run faster than the rest of my fur siblings. I am finally in good health and ready to find my new home. I can stay in my crate when you are not home with me, but would do better in a home where I will not be alone for long, extended hours of the day. I love being with my human and will snuggle with you on the couch if that is what will make you happy. I am the happiest puppy and will love you more than peanut butter and my foster mom says I love peanut butter more than anything.
