Opal is a sweet and precious girl. She has had a rough start in life, but she is ready for having an amazing life moving forward! Opal is timid when she first meets you but does warm up once she feels safe. She has a small underbite that gives her a slight pouty look that adds to her charm. Opal enjoys being with her person all the time. She’s my shadow. Opal is curious about the world around her and is figuring it all out. She sleeps with us at night. Be prepared for her laying completely on top of you! Opal loves to snuggle whether in bed or on the couch. She likes being a couch potato but is happy to go on walks anytime you are up to it. Opal does amazing on walks. She enjoys receiving praise and reassurances that she’s doing well while on the walk. We use a harness and leash. Opal rarely pulls; she is usually by my side or just in front of me. Opal is food motivated, but polite with her food. She loves treats! She is still figuring out toys. Opal is potty trained. Opal is crate trained. While Opal isn’t aggressive with cats, she gets fixated and would do best in a home without them. Opal enjoys playing with the other dogs. She is learning about different play styles with other dogs. She would be fine with a dog sibling. Opal only barks in the backyard or when she’s “protecting” me. Opal is such a loving dog and deserves a safe and loving home. She doesn’t like too loud of an environment, but she would fit in well with a variety of lifestyles.
