Casper is a sweet and timid boy that is looking for a forever family. He does need a bit of time to warm up to you, but when you gain his trust, his joyful spirit comes out. Casper is a loveable boy that will put a smile on your face. Casper is still learning how to be a dog. It appears that he was more in survival mode than enjoying life, so we’re changing that! Casper is a snuggler. Casper is a Velcro dog. He goes wherever I go, and if I sit down, he’s in my lap. He tries to be a good helper, especially in the backyard. He digs holes for me to plant things in…too bad I don’t have any plants to put in the holes right now! Casper enjoys going on walks. He is doing a great job learning how to be on a leash. Casper sleeps in the bed with us. He needs to be touching us at night to feel safe. Casper loves his meals but is selective about treats right now. It’s clear he wasn’t sure when he would get his next meal by how quickly he gulps his food down, so we use a slow feeder at mealtime. Casper is learning how to play with toys. Right now, his favorite toys are chew toys like Nylabones. He also likes chewing on plushies to get the stuffing out to decorate our living room with! Casper is potty trained. We are crate-training him…he’s not a fan. Casper is good with other dogs. He is good with children. He is OK with cats and would need monitoring until a positive relationship is built. Casper is an amazing dog that is ready to be your faithful companion!
