Pixie was rescued from a neglectful situation along with her 3 puppies she has since weaned her pups and is looking for a great home now that she spayed. She has a happy outgoing loving temperment and seems to live a happy energenic life. This is what the foster had to say about her:

Meet our newest foster dog Pixie. This little lady loves her people (men, women and children-aged included)! She has a happy, outgoing, spunky personality and is a ray of sunshine all the time! She a very good walker and handled a 2.5 mile walk with my other dogs like a champ! She seems house trained, she only had one accident on her arrival day. She learned to use the dog doors but prefers if you go outside with her! She LOVES my kids (age 6 and 8) and will happily jump in your lap for snuggles any time! She a petite little thing as less than 12lbs.  She gets along fine with my dogs but my dogs require space, respect and time to warm up to playing with our foster dogs so they just all been cohabiting so far. She submissive with them and seem eagar to make friends but she not unhappy without a k9 playmate! She definitely the type of dog you could take to an outdoor event, daily walks and meet strangers in your neighborhood, dog parks, etc with ease. Like most wired hair terriers she has a bit of an issue wanting to chase and bark at my cats. She will not engage with them if they set clear boundaries as she is submissive but i think a cat free home would be best unless you got some tough felines ready to kick some doggy but when she gets too excited! Honestly i cant say enough about this sweet baby! She not had alot of expose to car rides but is learning they not ao terrible (She pants and sits on your lap)

Pixie is spayed, microchipped, up to date on annual vaccines, fecal tested and current on flea and heartworm prevention. Pixie is heartworm positive but due to her young age and small size we safely started her on the slow kill method of treatment. Anyone who adopts will recieve 1 years worth of heartguard so that she can continue her slow kill treatment.
