Tommie Jean (TJ) was found on a cold winter night emaciated and happily looking for a warm home. Lucky for her she wandered up to the home of a rescuer and they took her in. She then started gaining weight and got all healthy. She has been dewormed, heartworm treated, received all of her vaccines and spayed. She is ready for her furever home. She is absolutely amazing with other dogs and would love to have some playmates. She looks like a petite boxer except she has tail. Since she was a stray we don't know her exact breed but she has such an amazing temperment we know she'll find a great home!

This is what the foster had to say about her:Tommie is a sweet older lady who is looking for her forever home. Tommie has such a delightful personality. Her confidence has grown since she joined us and she just radiates happiness. Tommie is a loving lady who is excited about being a part of a family and a dog pack. She just wants to be with her people and her dog siblings. Tommie loves snuggling with her person on the coach. She loves getting belly rubs. She is playful with her person as well as with other dogs. She is affectionate with our dogs including grooming them. Tommie is also energetic and loves to romp around the backyard with our dogs. Tommie loves going outside with her person and sitting in the sunshine.  Tommie loves plushies. Tommie loves, loves, loves food, so it’s no surprise that the kitchen is her favorite place to be. She enjoys trying all sorts of food, but right now her favorite treat is Zoe's Super Bars. We give her supplements to ensure her joints remain healthy. We take her on slow short walks and she's doing well on a leash. Tommie knows how to sit on command. She's doing well with crate training, but for the several times we have left her out, Tommie did not have any problems. Tommie is potty trained. She sleeps wherever she likes, which is usually the couch or one of the doggie beds in our bedroom. She sleeps with a little bit of her tongue sticking out...it's so cute! She also makes a lot of faces, but I haven't been able to snap a picture. Tommie needs to live in a cat free home. Tommie does well with older children (I don’t know what she’s like with younger children). Tommie would do well in a home with another dog. She's not an alpha dog. Tommie is a great dog that deserves a loving forever home for the rest of her life. She has so much love to give.
