Sami is a tiny little girl. Her owners could no longer keep her due to having too many dogs. She loves other dogs and children. This is what the foster had to say about her: Sami is a sweet brindle chihuahua whose experiencing big dogs for the first time in her life. It's hilarious. She LOVES to snuggle. Her favorite thing is to get into bed with her foster mom and immediately burrow under the covers. Half way through the night, she always moves up and sleeps snuggled up in her arm like a little spoon. She gets more and more confident every day. It is very clear she was left outside often so she has only slowly started wanting to lay out on the lanai to sun bathe. We are still working on potty training. She does not know how to ask, but will go outside if you are proactive with taking her. She potties by the back door when she does go in the house so she is learning the concept. She holds her own with the big dogs, but she currently has no interest in playing with them. She is excellent with our kids. They manhandle her and, while it isn't her favorite, she just roles with it. She is sweet, loving, and really wants to be someone's lap dog. We have not needed to crate her at all. When we leave, she snuggles up in blankets or pillows until we return. Sami is heartworm positive and currently undergoing the slow kill Method of treatment and has recieved a proheart 12 injection (12 months of heartworm prevention) and does not need to be retested for 1 year.
