Learn more about the Labrador Retriever.
Penny was found as a stray when she ran up to a rural georgia home skinny and full of fleas. Lucky for her she was found by someone who contacted a rescue and she was placed with our rescue. Penny looks like a mini labrador ...clearly she wont be too big but she won't be a small breed dog either. Below is what her foster mom says about her: Penny is a 16 pound puppy who is approximately 6-8 months old. She is a very sweet, docile and lovable girl. She is good with other dogs and kids, even gets along with new people but is timid. We do not have a cat or other types of pets, so unsure on that. She loves to play indoors and outdoors. Penny is not fully housebroken, she uses the bathroom outside but has had a few accidents early on when she first came home with us. She does well with a walking routine. Penny stays in a crate or puppy exercise pen when we leave the house and is fine. As a puppy, she does like to chew on things if not supervised, but will stop with a command. She is not fully comfortable on a leash or harness so she does not like to walk far away from our house. She is easily spooked around loud vehicles. She is not aggressive at all and barely barks. Penny loves cuddling up to us, belly rubs are her favorite! She will let anyone rub her belly. She does not like car rides and has to be picked up and placed inside the car to go anywhere, but she does not get sick in the car.
She is now microchipped, spayed and has received her rabies vaccine. More about PennyGood with Dogs, Good with Kids
