Peppy was rescued from rural Georgia. We don't know too much of her back story but it seems she was loved judging by her happy outgoing loving personality. We do suspect she spend alot of time outdoors as she came to us rather thin, full of tick scars and heartworm positive. But her shinning personality is the best. Peppy gets along with other dogs (big and small) and kids. She likes to chase squirels in the yard and seems to want to chase the indoor cats in her foster home. She not agreesive with the cats but it could get annoying to resident cats until she learns they where friends. She 100% housetrained and has been left alone  (with access to the fenced backyard with doggy doors) for several hours loose in the home without incident. She likes to take walks but doesn't pull unless she spies a squirel then she might take a run after if allowed. She loves to sleep in bed with you and will snuggle under the covers if allowed. I have yet to hear her bark. Her breed is truely unknown. She kind of looks like a mini beagle, fiest, chihuahua, etc type mix.

Peppy is heartworm positive and is undergoing the slow kill method. She is taking 1 month worth of oral doxycycline (provided at adoption) and has recived a proheart 12 month injection. She will not need any further treatment until she is retested for heartworms in 1 year.
