Poppy was rescued after she was seen being hit by a car. She was taken to the vet where a broken rear leg was discovered requiring amputation. She was adopted at about 8 months old but was returned. it was discovered that she is deaf and her adoptive home had over 1 dozen cats. Some of them beat her up and she became defensive always expecting ab attack. She is now back in her orginal foster home (4 cats, 1 small dog and 2 kids) and this is what they had to say about her: Poppy has been in my home 4 days. Poppy is now running loose in my home 24/7 with my small dog who she gets along with 100% (bigger dogs just intimate her but she warns up), she also gets along with my 6 month old kitten who the same size as her. My two senior antisocial cats have no issue with her and she just avoids them and they avoid her (they dislike all other cats and each other). My more in your face dominate male cat sometimes attempts to chase her but she tells him whats up and they go there separate way. She been friendly with both my kids and enjoys a good pet but like all cats enjoys attention when she ready! She enjoys laying in the sun on my pool deck! She is not fearful of people and stays out in the general area constantly! I still have her cage set up where she goes if she wants a minute alone or to eat! Her furever home could have kids (who are respectful of cats) dogs and cats! She just didnt thrive in a home with a dozen cats! She not a big fan Of being picked up and carried around but she will follow you to get attention! She loves the kitchen and is constantly under foot there!
