Duke is a sweet loving dog who has had an unfortunate life. Poor guys seems to have been passed around when he was unwanted. Now that he is with us we are going to make sure that he gets a great furever home. Duke looks like a tiny german shepherd. We are not sure of his breed but he is full grown and is considered a small- small medium sized dog at only 23lbs. He loves other dogs, people, kids and ignore cats. He does love his people so much that if left in a back yard unattended for long period of time he will find his way out of the yard and come to the door to be let back in. Did i mention he loves his people! He currently fostered with another dog a cat and 3 kids. Duke foster mom says this about him:

All this spunky little guy wants is a family to call his own.  Duke is very sweet. He is great with my kids and dogs.  He is indifferent to my cats.  He just loves hanging out with his people. He's up for doing whatever you want, whether it's a walk or sitting on the couch reading a book. His favorite thing to do this winter is burrowing under blankets and staying there.  He's not interested in toys and is picky about food, but loves treats! 

Duke is heartworm positive and is currently being treated using the slow kill method. He has recieved a proheart injection 12 (heartworm prevention for 1 year) and is on an antibiotic Doxycycline for 30 days. All slow kill medications/treatments will be provided at adoption until the dog is heartworm negative.
