Online Adoption Application

Oscar was rescued from rural georgia as a stray dog. He was transported along with a ton of other dogs down to florida to be rehomed. He is a sweet tiny little dog. Oscar loves to cuddle on your lap and sleep under the cover in bed all night long. He is a burrowing chihuahua when it comes to blankets and covers! Oscar is fully housebroken and cratetrained (although does not need to be crated). He is good with dogs (all sizes and ages) but sometimes stands his ground by growling around bigger dogs or ones who try and enter his personal space. He completely ignores cats inside or outside. Finally he has experience in a foster home with young children and although he wasn't sleeping on there laps he never growls or snapps. I think he would do well with kids who are just a bit older (8 years old and above) so he doesn't have to be worried about being run after or picking up by littles who are too young to know not to hurt him.

Oscar is heartworm postive and is currently undergoing the slow kill method of threatment.
